Privacy Policy

This policy explains what PearlTap collects, why, and what you can do about it. We collect as little as we need to run the service, and we don't sell personal information.
Vendors (people with a PearlTap account)
- Account details: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your Google account email. Passwords are stored by our login provider in hashed form; we never see them.
- Page content: your page address, name, bio, photo and links. This is public by design.
- Billing: Stripe processes payments. We receive your subscription status and a customer reference, but never your full card number.
- Shipping address: collected at checkout, used only to mail your sticker.
- Login cookies: we set cookies that keep you signed in. They aren't used for advertising or tracking.
People who visit a vendor's page
- When someone opens a page or taps a link, we record that it happened, when, which link, and whether it came from a sticker tap. Vendors see these as totals.
- We don't store visitors' IP addresses, set cookies on them, or build profiles of them.
- Our hosting provider may briefly process IP addresses and device details in its logs to deliver pages and stop abuse.
How we use information
- To run PearlTap: show your page, process subscriptions and ship stickers.
- To send emails about your account: welcome, trial reminders, payment problems and important changes. We don't send marketing emails without asking.
- To keep the service secure and fix problems.
Who we share it with
Only the companies that run parts of PearlTap for us, and only what they need:
- Supabase: database, file storage and logins
- Cloudflare: hosting and network
- Stripe: payments
- Resend: email delivery
Some of these providers store or process data outside Canada, mainly in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect people from fraud or harm.
How long we keep it
We keep your account information while your account exists. When you ask us to close it, we delete your page, links, photo and statistics within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax or legal reasons, such as payment history.
Your choices and rights
You can edit your page any time from your dashboard. To get a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account, email us. Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under Canadian privacy laws such as PIPEDA or Quebec's Law 25, and we'll honor them.
Children
PearlTap accounts are for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll email vendors before the change takes effect.
